Sofa Bay makes sofas in the UK and sells them direct, without the showroom markup. Every piece is made to order and delivered in two to three weeks. The product was never the problem. The storefront was.

The old homepage opened with a countdown bar, a review bar and a nav bar stacked on top of each other, then dropped the headline on top of a photograph where it was barely legible. We cut the header to one line, moved the headline onto clean space above the product, and gave it a single button. The sofa became the first thing you see.
Buying a sofa is a considered purchase, and the questions are always the same: what does it really cost, can I spread it, and when does it arrive. Every product card now carries the price, the saving, the star rating and the Klarna and Clearpay instalments together. The customer answers three questions without leaving the grid.
Most people are not buying one piece, they are furnishing a room. We built shoppable room sets, so a customer who likes the Oakland corner sofa can see the armchair, the footstool and the two-seater that go with it, and add them in the same visit.
